This 4-days Kenya safari combines two of the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations – Lake Nakuru National Park and the world-renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. The safari is perfect for travelers with limited time who still wish to experience Kenya’s rich wildlife diversity and dramatic landscapes. At Lake Nakuru, known as the “Birdwatcher’s Paradise,” you will marvel at large flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and other bird species, as well as rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and lions. You will also explore the park’s unique ecosystems, from acacia forests to open savannahs. In the Masai Mara, you will embark on unforgettable game drives across the vast plains, encountering the Big Five and other animals such as cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, and hippos. During the Great Migration season (July–October), you may witness the spectacular river crossings along the Mara River – one of the most dramatic wildlife events on Earth. Itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be picked up in Nairobi in the morning and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, enjoying breathtaking views of the escarpment. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch at your lodge/camp. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in search of rhinos, lions, giraffes, and the famous flamingos along the lake shores.

Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Masai Mara.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart Nakuru and drive across the Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive across the Mara plains, where you may spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, and other wildlife.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the Big Five and other species, with the possibility of witnessing the wildebeest migration (seasonal). You may also opt for a hot air balloon safari for a bird’s-eye view of the reserve or visit a Maasai village to experience local culture.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your 4-days Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara safari.
